Is it important that contemporary art last hundreds of years?

Synopsis: Museums around the world are filled with paintings dating from the Middle Ages that have improved with age and have required minimal conservation while iconic 20th century art is failing at an alarming rate. • A brief discussion of pH. What does it really mean?
